This little book provides an excellent overview of the many aspects of Earth Science. After studying this book for a month, I was able to pass the Praxis II Earth Science Content Knowledge Test on the first try, even though I have never taken a course in geology, astronomy, or oceanography. It is easily understandable and succinct, with good diagrams and illustrations and useful review questions.

I purchased this book because I took an earth science class. It was incredibly useful. It enhanced and clarified the information taught in the class. Because I did not have a regular textbook in the class, this book proved to be an invaluable resource for me. Without it, I would not have done as well as I did. I would highly recommend this book for a basic earth science class in high school or the college level.CliffsQuickReview Earth Science

I used this book to study for the Praxis II Earth and Space Science Content Knowledge test. I have never taken an earth science class in my life and I am confident that I passed the test. This book has a lot of good diagrams and charts that I memorized and used on the exam (they were very useful). It also acted as a nice guide of what topics I needed to review. Unfortunately, a large portion of this book explains things very poorly. I had to refer to different websites to understand a LOT of what was going on in this book, particularly in the area of weather.
